For sale here is a truly incredible piece of sports history: a US First Day Cover of the #1382 Football stamp - signed by 10 members of the College Football Hall of Fame (HOF), including 3 Heisman Trophy winners, and several that went on to have stellar NFL careers. Jay Berwanger - nicknamed "The Flying Dutchman, " was a two-time All-American halfback for Chicago. He was the first winner of the Heisman Trophy in 1935. He was the number one pick in the first pro football draft. "The Galloping Ghost" and "the Wheaton Iceman", was an American professional football halfback who played for the Chicago Bears and the short-lived New York Yankees.

Doak Walker - Heisman Trophy winner in 1948 for the SMU Mustangs. Also played for the Detroit Lions for 6 seasons.

George McAfee - McAfee was a halfback and defensive back for the NFL Chicago Bears for 6 seasons after an outstanding career at Duke. Tom Harmon - Nicknamed'Old 98', Harmon was a halfback for the Michigan Wolverines from 1938 to 1940 - and Heisman Trophy winner in 1940.

Johnny Lujack - Heisman Trophy winner of 1947, Lujack had a stellar career with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the NFL Chicago Bears. White - Heisman Trophy runner-up in 1937 for Colorado. Byron Raymond "Whizzer" White was an American lawyer, jurist, and professional football player who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1962 until 1993.

Jerome Heartwell "Brud" Holland was an American university president and diplomat. He was the first African American to play football at Cornell University, and was chosen as an All American in 1937 and 1938. Was an American football player, coach, broadcaster, and politician. He served as the head football coach at the University of Oklahoma from 1947 to 1963, compiling a record of 145-29-4. His Oklahoma Sooners won three national championships and 14 conference titles.

Sid Luckman - QB for Columbia University, and 3rd in Heisman voting in 1938. Luckman played for the NFL Chicago Bears from 1939 to 1950, leading them to 4 NFL Championships.
