#930 Franklin D. Roosevelt Dorothy Knapp Hand Painted 1945 FDC Special
Designed, painted and signed by Dorothy Knapp. This was done after 1980. Dorothy did NOT collect or have a inventory of her work. This is an urban myth. Her son Wally started going to stamp shows and picking up uncached covers from her earlier period for her to paint.
Dorothy still had her templates from the 1940s. Very few of these 1980s add-ons to the 1940s issues exist. See scans - inspect please. We have been dealers for 25 years.
