This is a unique 1983 collection of Canadian Mint Stamps and First Day Covers developed by The Excelsior Collectors Guild. The 84 mint stamps and 84 first day covers, each with an embossed Gold leaf insignia and a Certificate of Authenticity in this collection, reflect Canada's political, social, cultural and economic life. They honour the men and women who have made our nation great and pay tribute to our traditions, folklore, institutions and ideals. As well, this collection pays tribute to the legacy of our historic buildings. The Story of Canada gives a compelling account of past and present events in Canadian History in texts written especially for this collection. Only a few of the impressive FDC's are displayed in the photos for your viewing. Each Volume (binder) has its own protective case and contains. Official government First Day Covers. Gleaming 24 karat gold works of art. 21 Out - of - issue mint stamp. A fascinating twenty-five-hundred-word chapter of the momentous events and historical landmarks in Canada history. Each volume is in its own blue 11.5 by 12 4-ring binder with gold embossed print and enclosed in a matching blue slipcase or protective case. Certificate of Authenticity with Collector Number. The volumes are in excellent condition, the only damage is on the binder of volume II circled in red (see photo). Only a few protective cases have a little normal wear but the volumes themselves are in excellent condition. As well, only the one FDC Birds of Canada is missing.
